If you are familiar with If This Then That you’ll know it is an incredibly useful service. IFTTT allows you to connect online, and some offline, services together so that when an event occurs in one location it triggers an action in another.
Some popular uses of IFTTT include sending photos posted on Instagram to other services such as Dropbox, sending a reminder via sms or even get your lights to come on at home when the sun goes down!
Last year they voluntarily pulled triggers connected with Twitter due to changes in the terms of use of the Twitter API. Now it seems Twitter functions are back, and so are some very useful Twitter recipes. Once again you can now:
- Save your Tweets to a Google Spreadsheet
- Share links from Twitter updates to Tumblr
- Save links from your favourite Tweets to Instapaper
There are already over 180 triggers on IFTTT that have been created based on Twitter actions.
If you haven’t tried it out for yourself yet, please do. And be sure to come back and let us know some of your most creative recipes.
