Sean’s Week On Twitter
The first week back after a break is always difficult. Combine the mountain of emails with a body clock that thinks it should be laying around the pool, means motivation can be hard to muster. But it is an opportunity to regroup and revisit old practises.
I have used this week as an opportunity to restructure my workflow, relieve some of the pressure of the day to day grind, and add more time to think, to my calendar.
The inspiration for this has been a book by Todd Henry, Accidental Creative which I discovered via the Linchpin Podcast. After just the first 2 chapters I already have a feel for where the book is going, and the need to create space and time in a busy schedule. If you’d like to find out more I have included a video at the end of this post.

With sign-ups to the new Social platform in the region of 18 million in just 3 weeks there is much speculation over which of the other networks are losing out to the rapid growth of Google+. Many of the advocates of the platform seem to be those dissatisfied with Facebook, but in the long run it will be the platform that provides the best benefit to business that is likely to shine through.

The only type of letter I see nowadays are bills and I certainly never get any handwritten mail. So a big thumbs up to this brave attempt to rejuvenate the lost art of letter writing.

Not satisfied with dominating the online World, it seems Google may be affecting the way we memorise information. For me it’s no surprise, ever since mobile phones came into being I have not been able to recall more than a handful of phone numbers, why should I when they are a click or 2 away. So the fact that we are now using the Internet as an extension to our memories seems a natural evolution.

As the amount of people you Follow on Twitter grows, monitoring who is saying what becomes more of a challenge. Creating lists is a great way to group important and like minded individuals you wish to track. Formulists offers a way to automate some of this process, for free.
