Could this be the rival tablet that is going to get the Android platform some market share?
The recently released Samsung Galaxy Tab with a 10.1 inch screen, dual core processor, front and rear cameras is certainly a great looking piece of kit.
They haven’t held back in their creativity when it comes to promoting the device either.
Samsung have a Social Media campaign that involves all the major platforms, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab on YouTube
Choosing to use a dedicated YouTube channel to promote the Samsung Galaxy Tab with a range of videos based around the device. The videos are a mixture of professionally produced promotional films and home made video diaries presented in a honeycomb reactionary flash navigation at the top of the Samsung YouTube channel.
Amongst them are some fun videos used to highlight the products features, such as the World Breaking yoga practicing motorcyclist highlighting multi-tasking, the Rubiks cube being solved in 6.57 seconds and the worlds fastest rapper both used as a comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Tabs speed with its dual core processor.
Professionally produced videos include the Samsung sponsored Superbike team, seen using the Samsung Galaxy Tab as part of their race preparations on test day:
The Tab on Facebook & Twitter
Alongside the YouTube campaign, Samsung have a dedicated Facebook page with a competition being used to drive deeper engagement and bringing Twitter into the social media campaign. For a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab entrants are asked to visit a local store, take a photo of themselves holding the Tab and Tweet the photo to @samsunguk using the hashtag #worldoftab.
In addition they have been reaching out to the bloggers, like me, to encourage sponsored posts to promote the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
